USE OF TECHNOLOGY

As students become video game developers, it becomes easier to educate them on the effective use of technology, its risks and opportunities.

The tool for developing apps has been Game Maker. Game Maker is a powerful tool to create games in two dimensions and export them to Android systems.

But there have been a variety of tools that we have used: Excel, Genially, Wix, image retouching tools, TwinSpace, ...

It should be noted that we have sought effectiveness in its use: it is not about using many tools, but about using the right ones.

GAME MAKER

In this project, the students have had a triple role, which has allowed them to work ICT from these three points of view:

* As a designer, visiting webs with images, reviewing licenses of those images, downloading and retouching, ...

* As a developer, using Game Maker and computational thinking to program videogames.

* As a publisher. You must prepare the icons, make diffusion of your work, ....

And all this under a collaborative work environment that involves using communication tools.

DESIGNERS, DEVELOPERS AND PUBLISHERS.

This project has been especially useful to teach students about the use of materials created by other authors: publishing a videogame on Play Store requires respecting copyright.

It has been taught what the Creative Commons license consists of, and it has been strict in its use.

Free sources have been shown, such as openclipart.org or Morgue File.
